Theodosius Dobzhansky was born on January 25, 1900 in Nemirov, Russia .  He wrote his first book called "Genetics and the Origins of Species" in 1937 it contained new and old ideas of genetics. The old ideas came from Darwinian selection. It became a major guide to future research in evolution. Theodosius later died in 1975 at the age of 75. If it weren't for his research in evolution we wouldn't know half of the stuff we know now.
